QUICK GUIDE: All Around Guangzhou

with 2 Comments

Guangzhou, or as many people know it, Canton, is the capital of Cantonese cuisine or in general-eating. There’s never a time when the restaurants are empty or when the locals aren’t eating. When you’re living in as fast paced and as crowded a city as Guangzhou, you’re definitely going to have to eat your fill to keep up. They say that the “Cantonese will eat anything in the sky but airplanes, anything in the sea but submarines, and anything with four legs but the table” (Amanda Bennett). Without further ado, here are some cafés, foods, and restaurants you should check out while you’re there!

1. Japanese Restaurants

Besides the Cantonese cuisine, Guangzhou really loves Japanese food (probably because Guangzhou’s cuisine also consists of a lot of seafood) so you’ll find a large number of Japanese restaurants all over the city.
